Marketing Manager

In this multi-faceted role, you will also be responsible for brand ownership - telling the story of what the Bank stands for and supporting our mission to genuinely make a difference to our customers.

The role will oversee the operational execution of the brand through the delivery of a consistent and positive brand identify through all customer communications – including collateral, website, PR, social media, events, affiliates, media, advertising and customer feedback. This role will see collaboration with the Director of Products and Strategy in developing and implementing a marketing and communication strategy (in line with the Bank’s objectives) across a range of reactive and strategically planned opportunities in print, media and online.

You will work with functional heads to drive a customer focused culture and ensure it is embedded across the business. You will enjoy using your influencing and communicating skills to engage the business to 'Think Customer' and for this to become an integral part of the culture of the business.
Through a sound understanding of the role of content in social media you'll help ensure the right content reaches the right people at the right time in an effort to convey open, clear and insightful online communications that drive greater levels of engagement.
 
You will have experience within banking or other financial services, ideally within the SME sector, and in particular within marketing and customer propositions. Previous experience in social media is essential, together with a track record of successfully leading marketing activity in a fast-growth business within a highly regulated culture.  
 
Using your knowledge of systems such as Google analytics or other marketing tools, you will be responsible for delivering accurate reporting of data. The recommendations you make from the analysis and insight gleaned from Social Media performance will drive better customer engagement. A qualification of marketing or digital marketing is desirable.
 
The role demands a self-motivated team player, with a hands-on approach and the ability to deliver to tight reporting deadlines.  Stakeholder management will be key as you ensure that the business is utilising fully each relationship with the customer.  Organisation and negotiation skills are important as well as previous experiencing of managing a small team.
