We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of IT to join our fast-paced, evolving, Operations team.  
You will be responsible for all operational aspects of our internal and external IT systems together with our IT Security and Cyber Strategy and IT governance policies, ensuring relevant accreditations are kept up to date. While supporting, as required, the Director of Operations in delivering Operational resilience and efficiency, you will also effectively lead our small internal IT Support team. 

Main Responsibilities of this role include:

Operational
•    Ensuring Redwood’s adherence to and compliance with IT governance policies and procedures 
•    Ensuring effective IT management, administration, and support 
•    Managing, mentoring and developing a small, fit for purpose in-house IT support function
•    Supporting technical activities relating to third party technology integrations.

Regulatory
•    Ensuring the Bank operates in accordance with the IT regulatory requirements and guidelines of the PRA/FCA, particularly to comply with general outsourcing requirements of the FCA Handbook, SYSC 8.

Risk Management/Controls
•    Ensuring appropriate and effective controls for the identification and management of potential and actual breaches of IT and information security policies, and ensuring procedures are escalated appropriately
•    Embedding and promoting effective IT governance across the business
•    Responsibility for ongoing reviews, updates and testing of the Business Continuity Plan.

Information Security
•    Defining, developing and maintaining a business-aligned Information and Cyber Security strategy and operating model
•    Responsibility for evaluating cyber security vulnerabilities and business risk, and taking appropriate actions
•    Understanding the legal and regulatory implications of Information & Cyber security risks as they relate to the Bank’s specific circumstances
•    Responsibility to champion cyber security and act as a role model by following the cyber security practices implemented by the organisation.

You will establish strong and ongoing relationships with the Bank’s IT Outsourced Service Providers, working closely with 3rd party providers ensuring Information and Cyber Security controls are in place and are effective.

As part of our Business Leadership Group, you will contribute to our strategic and operational plans with responsibility for maintaining a robust and transparent organisational structure, with effective communication and reporting channels ensuring decisions are undertaken in the best interest of the Bank.

You will be educated to degree standard or with equivalent professional experience. You should have a minimum of five years’ experience at senior IT management level, preferably within financial services, with a detailed understanding of the key elements of Information and Cyber Security and Operational Resilience. It is fundamental for you to have experience of network administration/management (switches, routers, and firewalls), installation and administration of Microsoft Windows; Office 365; OneDrive; Sharepoint; Skype for Business, Teams and have had exposure to Cloud hosted applications/infrastructure/Microsoft Azure.
