Senior Credit Risk Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Manager to join our fast-paced Risk team.  
The individual will be responsible for acting as the second line subject matter expert on Credit Risk while also supporting the Head of Risk in continuously managing and enhancing the Bank's risk framework and in the co-ordination of the Risk team.
Main Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting the ongoing development of the risk management framework and ensuring the Bank operates within regulatory rules and that its policies and procedures are consistent with regulatory requirements and all relevant legislation as well as good market practice;
  • Providing appropriate technical and professional expertise in respect of credit risk management;
  • Monitoring and providing appropriate challenge on the Bank’s risk management practices including setting and adherence to the Bank’s risk appetite;
  • Supporting the development of enhanced second line credit risk management information and portfolio analytics.
  • Supporting the development of enhanced second line Quality Assurance (“QA”) activities and provide oversight of first line QA activities.
  • Ensuring that appropriate processes are developed for the assessment, measurement and management of risk. 
  • Supporting the Head of Risk and the CRO in providing second line review of new Bank initiatives, products, developments, partnerships and amalgamations.

The individual must be educated to degree standard and preferably a relevant professional qualification together with at least five years of first/second line credit risk management experience within a financial services firm.

A broad knowledge of the banking risk management landscape and experience of dealing with senior management on risk issues is essential.

Applicants should have a willingness to learn and engage in new topics.  While this role is to act as a subject matter expert on Credit Risk Management, there is also an expectation to engage and support in other areas of risk management.
