‘Nurturing environment’ earns Redwood an Outstanding Workplace Award

Colleagues at Redwood Bank are celebrating after the effort and investment in workplace culture was recognised with a prestigious accolade.

Redwood has received an Outstanding Workplace Award from management consultancy firm People Insight, following an employee engagement survey.

There was an 84 per cent response rate and an 86 per cent engagement score, both of which placed the Bank in the top quartile of all organisations surveyed.

Redwood’s Director of People, Tracey Lester, said: “We’re just thrilled. I work with our teams every day and so I know how great they are, but to be recognised like this feels like a real vindication.

“We put so much effort into making this a great place to work because we think this will help us deliver better results for our customers and other stakeholders. This success is very satisfying, but we’ll not be resting on our laurels. We’re going to carry on doing everything we can to go on improving.”

The survey had six common themes: purpose, enablement, autonomy, reward, leadership and engagement, all of which received a positive response rate of more than 70 per cent.

For the five key driver questions most impacting engagement, the Bank achieved positive response rates of over 75 per cent.

When asked to note the best thing about working for Redwood Bank, the top five key words used by its employees were “people”, “work”, “culture”, “team” and “caring”.

People Insight’s Outstanding Workplace Award is reviewed against extensive benchmarks to recognise organisations with the most engaged colleagues. Redwood can now display the award on its website and social media.

A People Insight spokesman said: “We'd like to congratulate Redwood Bank on its Outstanding Workplace Award – the dedication to fostering a meaningful employee experience shines through the remarkable results from the latest survey. Their colleagues' profound commitment to the Bank’s future, coupled with a deep sense of purpose in their work, underscores Redwood’s exemplary leadership and nurturing environment.

“From caring about the Bank’s goals to feeling valued and respected by their managers, Redwood colleagues exemplify the essence of an exceptional workplace. Their unwavering dedication inspires excellence and sets a strong benchmark for organisational success.”
