12/02/2024

Redwood Bank has proudly announced its sustained support for inspirational charity PoetsIN, with a renewed donation of £10,000 for 2024.

Having selected the charity as one of its official charities in 2022 and 2023, Redwood Bank has witnessed the impactful work carried out by the charity and the vital work it delivers to communities across the UK, sparking a further commitment of support.

Founded by Hertfordshire-based writer Paul Chambers and Cambridgeshire-based poet Sammie Adams, PoetsIN offers creative mental health programmes to alleviate the symptoms of mental illness. Its services include the flagship Creative Mental Health Programme™, a Buddy Service™, and personalised one-to-one support, all aimed at spreading 'INspiring, INclusive and INformative' messages.

Graham Reynolds, Redwood Bank’s Director of Sustainability said: “We are thrilled to continue our support for PoetsIN. Mental health is a universal concern, and it is essential to back charities like PoetsIN that play a vital role in this area. Our donation will contribute to making a real difference in the lives of those grappling with mental health issues.”

Throughout the year PoetsIN will be providing key services to Redwood’s employees, including mental health training for managers, workshops and drop-in sessions.

“We believe it’s not just crucial to support the charity's community work but also to bring it closer to home. Our partnership with PoetsIN ensures all our colleagues feel fully supported with any mental health concerns, no matter how minor, making it easier for them to access the help they need.”

Sammie Adams, Co-Founder of PoetsIN, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Redwood Bank for their continued support. This donation has made a real difference to the work that we do.

“Around 40 individuals have directly benefited from Redwood’s donation, with success stories showcasing the positive impact on mental health. We believe that everyone should have access to mental health resources, and with the continued support of companies like Redwood Bank, we can make this a reality.”
