Ian has more than 35 years’ experience in banking, from retail to commercial. He started his career with Lloyds Bank within the retail sector and climbed the ladder to become a Business Manager looking after a portfolio of local businesses in the south of England.
After 18 years he moved to NatWest where he took up the position of Business Relationship Manager for the south. He was responsible for creating good relationships to assist clients with their lending needs.
He spent five years assisting NatWest in establishing its broker proposition by building up a vast network of brokers in and around the south of England. During his time with NatWest, he was also responsible for dealing with different types of lending transactions and high volumes of lending to SMEs.
Ian is now excited to be part of the Redwood family where he has joined the Business Development Team to help build a strong presence for the Bank in the south.
