Non-Executive Director, Chairman
Mark is a well-qualified chairman and senior independent director with almost four decades of experience working within financial services.
Before embarking on his non-executive career, Mark was an advisor to several UK-based financial institutions and a Partner at two of the ‘Big Four’, EY and KPMG, and also at A.T. Kearney (now known as Kearney). In the early 2000s, Mark ran a UK insurance company, Zurich Personal Lines, which at the time had premium just under £1bn.
In addition to roles in leading financial institutions, Mark led the design and implementation of a trade credit insurance scheme for the UK Government. He also provided the design to handle the claims arising from the BP Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the value of which equated to all claims combined paid annually by UK motor insurers.
Since 2012, Mark has held senior board positions in a variety of different sectors, including insurance, banking, lending and other industries exploiting data and technology.
Now a valued member of the Redwood Board, Mark is the Bank’s Chairman and is passionate about Redwood Bank fulfilling its potential and recognising the combined efforts of all involved.
