Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director
Rajesh joined Redwood Bank as its Chief Risk Officer in 2021, bringing with him 25 years’ experience in financial services.
He began his career as an accountant, working in the finance departments of Nat West Group, ING and Standard Chartered Bank.
Rajesh moved into the Risk field at Standard Chartered Bank, following which he went on to work at a number of other lending and investment institutions, where he became the regulatory SMF 4 holder and Chief Risk Officer.
Regulatory interaction, constructing operational risk frameworks, property financing assessments and strategic capital planning have been areas of focus for Rajesh through his significant exposure to a broad range of Risk disciplines over the last decade.
In his role at Redwood Bank, Rajesh is responsible for ensuring that the Bank continues to operate in a controlled manner across all its risk exposures, as it executes its strategic objectives.
