A cat loving, royal advocate, Jenny has worked for Redwood Bank since 2017, and is thoroughly devoted to her close-knit team in our Warrington office. After sampling alternative career paths, the Business Development Coordinator and avid Beyonce fan returned to her passion of banking, further establishing her career with Redwood Bank.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
My cats are my alarm clock. Ultimately, they establish most of the rules in our house.
If you weren’t doing this, you’d be…
The past few years have taught me how passionate I am about finance. At one point, I tried a different career path, but quickly realised that banking is what I know and love best.
What’s the one standout piece of feedback you have received from a customer?
How much we care about and accommodate for our customers. That we’re always here to help, and they’ll always speak to a friendly member of our team at a local office, rather than simply directed to a call centre.
What has been your proudest achievement with Redwood to date?
At Redwood, there is an unequivocal sense of teamwork, reliability and family. As cliché as it sounds, being a part of that makes you feel special and successful. Watching the team grow and establish in Warrington has been extremely rewarding. Being a part of that growth has been so rewarding to me.
What’s the best piece of advice you have received in the last few years?
‘Know your worth’. If ever I doubt myself, I rely on this to keep me motivated and at my best. For anyone thinking of a career in banking, I’d say to go ahead, I love the industry and all the new things you can learn and the challenges you face.

What three people, dead or alive, would you invite to your ultimate dinner party?
Beyonce, Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana.
What’s the one thing you know about banking that you didn’t three years ago?
How refreshing it is to work for a start-up bank. We are like a big family between the Letchworth and Warrington offices. You get to truly appreciate and celebrate the big wins, while also being part of a dependable team that genuinely values you.
How do you see Redwood evolving in the next three years?
I see the Bank progressing even further. We have opportunities to successfully grow our product base and delight even more customers.
