Redwood Bank is proud to support two remarkable charities in 2025 – the National Literacy Trust and Warrington Youth Zone – as part of its commitment to creating lasting impact in local communities.
With a generous £10,000 donation and hands-on volunteering, Redwood is backing the National Literacy Trust’s flagship Words for Work: Dream Big programme. This initiative empowers children aged five to seven with crucial literacy and communication skills, boosting confidence and helping them aim high. Redwood staff have actively participated in classroom activities, reading with pupils and answering questions about their careers.
In addition, Redwood’s sponsorship helped deliver the Trust’s dynamic Words Rising workshops, led by spoken word artists, for women who have experienced abusive relationships. The success of these workshops is clear with 100 per cent of participants reporting increased enthusiasm for reading and writing.
In Warrington, the Bank is partnering with Warrington Youth Zone to support young people aged eight to 19. Its donation is helping fund sports, arts, mental health and employability programmes. Redwood employees are also volunteering throughout the year to support the Youth Zone’s work.
Alex John, ESG Manager at Redwood Bank, said: “At Redwood, we believe in investing in a sustainable and equitable future. That’s why we’re proud to be supporting the National Literacy Trust and Warrington Youth Zone – two organisations making a real difference to the lives of young people and vulnerable women. From boosting literacy to building life skills and self-belief, these programmes help unlock potential and give everyone who take part the chance to succeed.”
These partnerships reflect Redwood Bank’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and building brighter futures through education, empowerment and community engagement.
