Award-winning Redwood Bank has marked its eighth anniversary, celebrating a period of sustained growth and unwavering support for UK businesses.
Since its launch in 2017, the specialist business bank has built a strong reputation as a trusted financial partner, offering tailored lending solutions and competitive savings products.
The Bank’s customer-focused approach and dedication to excellent service have earned it industry recognition, including an award from the Mortgage Awards for its Green Reward Cashback initiative and seven successive Business Moneyfacts trophies for Best Business Variable Rate Deposit Account Provider.
After achieving profitability in less than four years from obtaining its banking licence, Redwood has continued to expand year on year.
Key achievements include:
£820 million lent to date to support British SMEs, since launch.
New lending nearly doubled in 2024, while maintaining ongoing profitability.
An 18.1 per cent increase in the loan book’s value, growing from £414 million in 2023 to £492 million, in 2024.
A growing team, now approaching 150 colleagues, firmly rooted in the Hertfordshire and Warrington economies.
Gary Wilkinson, CEO and co-founder of Redwood Bank, said: “We’re proud to be celebrating our eighth birthday and the journey we’ve taken to get here – one where our core values and our people have remained at the very heart of everything we do.
“Our continued growth is a testament to the incredible work Redwood does to support landlords and SMEs across the UK.
“While the industry awards we’ve received highlight our impact, none of our success would be possible without our amazing team. A strong, collaborative culture is the cornerstone of Redwood, and we’re proud of every individual who has contributed to our growth story.”
As Redwood looks ahead, it remains committed to being a relationship-driven, technology enabled bank that helps UK businesses and communities thrive.
